Abdullah Gül University (AGU) organized a workshop on May 8, 2025, in line with the Council of Higher Education’s (YÖK) Internationalization Strategy Document. Coordinated by the International Relations and Erasmus Offices, the event brought together numerous representatives from academic and administrative units.

The workshop was attended by AGU’s Vice Rectors, Prof. Dr. Erk Hacıhasanoğlu and Prof. Dr. Evren Mutlugün, and addressed AGU’s internationalization goals from a multifaceted perspective.

In the initial sessions, the current status of AGU, Erasmus+ projects, bilateral agreements, and international student data were reviewed. Participants highlighted ongoing challenges in areas such as promotion, access to resources, and process management.

As a successful example, the Erasmus internship consortium project was introduced. Proposals were presented on collaboration opportunities with Asia, Africa, and Latin America, joint degree programs, and new international project areas.

In the session titled “Internationalization in Research,” a presentation was delivered by Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Evren Mutlugün. This session covered Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and TÜBİTAK-funded projects, as well as AGU’s international publication performance. Key topics included international doctoral programs, researcher exchanges, and increased incentives for academic publications.

The workshop also addressed issues such as foreign language proficiency in administrative processes, cultural awareness, effective use of digital communication tools, and the expansion of orientation programs.

The event concluded as a productive meeting where participants shared concrete proposals contributing to AGU’s internationalization vision.
